A learning journey: Stepping out of my comfort zone

A swift kick of reality, life is fleeting. I've been humming and hawing over starting a blog so finally here we go. It's funny that I've been scared to lay on my bed clicking away while the light from the laptop forms shadows of figures on the walls around me.... actually that does sound kind of scary. There's this internal friction inside of me, I don't really even know if starting a blog is the right thing to do, if it even aligns with my morals. I've made it a goal to increase food security with an anti-capitalist mindset. To me this is related to food sovereignty, a quick google search defines food sovereignty as the right of peoples to heathy and culturally appropriate food produced through ecologically sound and sustainable methods, and right to define their own food and agriculture systems. I do not claim to be an expert in food systems in the slightest but I'm trying my best to have an open mind and learn many different angles. I want this blog to be a place where I can share ideas on bringing together community, and strengthening our food security. I don't intend to profit off of the blog, but I do have my friends art on the website and might continue to sell some pieces. I'll try to write some focus articles on my looming questions in the ag industry, my personal journey, and gardening jib-jab. I always feel like a million different people so not going to really aim for any standard on these blog posts, they will be as chaotic as my brain. Some might be long and winding, others akin to a buzzfeed clickbait test, and perhaps some to the point, well cited, perfect imagery masterpieces. Time will tell, but I don't want to be scared! Let's build community, support each other, and erase capitalism. Also, learn along the way, capitalism and white supremacy are insidious in our society, so I'm sure there will be many learning moments for me and hopefully some eye openers for you to. Thanks for tuning in.
